Traders are advised to avoid long positions. On the downside, 17,878- 17,792 / 5,376 - 5,348 levels may act as support for the day. (Sensex, Nifty Spot levels mentioned). In case of the Bank Nifty Futures, it is observed that the counter has a support at the levels of 10,500. A temporary bounce up to 10,780 or 10,865 may be witnessed. It is expected that selling pressure to emerge at these levels as the daily trend continues to be downward. A close below 10,500, may lead to a further fall up to 10,263 / 10,170 levels.
 In banking, CNX Bank Index lost -40.70 points or -0.38 %. Amongst the banking stocks State Bank of Travancore, Dena Bank and Allahabad Bank lead the row.
Bank Nifty Futures shut stop at 10545.60 down by -52 points or -0.49 %. It is looking bearish in the coming trading session if it manages to trade below the support level of 10510 else above resistance level of 10685 it would be in an upward trend.
It has resistance close to the level of 10685 above this level the next resistance near to the level of 10940. It has support close to the level of 10510 & below this level the next support near 10370 marks.
